London Georgian House Extension & Remodelling By Ben Pentreath

Ben and Charlie live on the top floor of an old Georgian house in Bloomsbury that now provides the headquarters to a renowned artistic society. The flat was added and extended out of old attic garrets in the 1920s, and now provides a stunning, light-filled interior with a view over the leafy square.

The flat, in contrast to The Old Parsonage, uses layers of more contemporary fabrics, furniture and lighting – but combined with a bold use of antique furniture and engravings to create a mood that is at once modern and traditional, restful yet richly-coloured......more from Ben Pentreath

Cottage Remodelling | 18th Century Cottage in West Sussex with new interior decor by Caroline Holdaway

This property, originally two keepers cottages in West Sussex, is a cherished second home for my clients who wanted to enlarge to create space for entertaining, provision for guests and ancillary accommodation. Two extensions were added and a glass link to capitalise on the views of the glorious Sussex Downs.

Reclaimed oak and elm timber was sourced and laid for flooring and reclaimed York stone slabs were selected for interface areas with the outside. The newly constructed rooms were all given character by the use of reclaimed timber wall muntin. Oak beams were found and mechanically hollowed out to conceal the necessary modern steel supports marrying new construction with the original part of the building. Lime plaster was used to soften edges and a harmony of new and old sit peacefully together.......more from Caroline Holdaway

Modern Turkish Interior Decor | Turkish Villa | Alessandro Isola

Proximity to the sea and the rich Turkish context, were natural inspiration for the villa’s interiors, marked by use of rich elemental materials and objects like teak roots, thick solid tables made of Suar and tamarind, copper and bronze metals and a vibrant mix of colours, fabrics and geometric patterns.

There is a theatrical quality to every space. Huge teak roots, soft draped walls and perforated metal screens, create private spaces whilst maintaining visual permeability throughout the open plan spaces. Just as the living spaces are light and open, the bedrooms have a cosier warmer feel, with each room having a distinct character.........Alessandro Isola

Brazil Home Interior Decor | Alagoa | Tavares Tuayer Arquitetura

The architectural and aesthetic was founded on the preservation and enhancement of the culture and architecture region. We used colors and elements that allowed the new building to harmonize dialogue with the rest of the city. Ventilation and lighting prisms, translucent tiles and cast fixed elements were adopted to improve thermal comfort in the interior of the house. It was enriching to work from the Northeastern / Alagoan regionalism, full of colors and poetry. Accredited in the importance of valuing the individual through its history, culture and living conditions. Brazil is a country of singular natural and cultural wealth, it is important that we are attentive to the appreciation of our culture........tavares duayer arquitetura
